CrossFit Level 1
I was never an athlete as a child or even a teen. It wasn't until I meet my husband, that I became introduced to what an active lifestyle was. I quickly fell in love with the process of finding myself as an "older" athlete. I joined CrossFit Proverb on my 25th birthday and have not looked back since! It didn't take me long to realize that this community would be a lifelong adventure! I'm here to tell you, it is never too late (or too early) to make your health and fitness a priority.
Coming into fitness a little later in life, I enjoyed pushing myself in daily workouts as well as competing as an individual and in teams. It was when I became pregnant with my son that I started to really look at my journey as more of health and fitness than just a hobby. I knew I wanted to show others that pregnancy, postpartum and managing fitness as a mother was not only possible but extremely important. I quickly knew this was a message that I wanted to teach as an athlete and coach.
My purpose for coaching is to show each individual that they can be an athlete no matter what stage they are in life. Health and wellness are something that we strive for in our daily lives as well as in teaching our future generations.
